From the late 18th Century comes this fine 4/4 violin of the list: Gio Batista Gabbrielli fece in Firenze 1755 The instrument is equipped playable and with good rosewood and Pirastro Tonica strings setup. All cracks are firmly fixed, according to a statement of the luthier. No voice or bass bar cracks. Very nicely flamed one-piece back and sides. The instrument is fitted with linings and blocks. The beautiful golden-brown oil varnish with natural signs of wear is particularly striking. The violin has got a body sound of 35.6 cm and a total length of 58 cm. This violin is very extensively manufactured with much skill. An historic gem. After a thorough inspection by a professional violinist, I recommend this fine master violin demanding musicians for their mature-bearing, warm and full sound, whose wealth finely differentiated interpretations allowed to colors.

French violin, good sound make it interesting!!!!!! Nicely carved scroll and accurately inlaid purfling. The table is extremely fine grained spruce. The back, ribs and neck, is nicely flamed maple. The pegs, fingerboard, tailpiece and chinrest are ebony, button on back a little open. Very good quality old violin in immediate playing condition! Great and unique sound. It would suit advanced player, although it is not "very" loud. It received a new ebony chinrest, a new bridge and new strings. It also include a bow. Please be aware, this violin is old and in used condition, but each violin will probably need personal settings to suit your individual needs...
