You are looking at my Leica I C Standard mount body No: 65042 from 1931 + 1931 Collapsible NICKEL Elmar 50mm F3.5 Lens No: 139659 - Rare Leitz early Camera. I am selling my Leica 1C reluctantly as well as other Leica cameras and lenses (listed separately) from my Leica collection. THE BODY: It it is in good working condition considering its age (1931), with its original black lacquer on brass which shows in many places and add to its historical character. Body Nr 65042. Totally 100% original, not repainted, with the shutter curtains running smoothly, and every speed still operating precisely, I have tested and used this camera and lense and it gives remarkable results. This is the first Leica body in history which can accept readily interchangeable lenses. The lens mounting flange to film plane distance was fixed to 28.8mm, and all lenses became then manufactured to this specification. Standardised cameras and lenses are readily distinguishable by a small "0" on the body flange, engraved at 12 o'clock position. All cameras were in black paint finish, the codeword is LENEU. You can see details of this superb camera from these pictures which have not been retouched. THE LENS: NICKEL Elmar 50mm F3.5 lens, Nr 139659 has no scratches on the glass and no fungus, It is a great lens, this model is collapsible, making the whole camera a complete original in perfect working condition. BOTH LENS AND CAMERA ARE FROM 1931 ! THE SPOOL: Original Takeup spool also included. It will be shipped in a secure well packed and protected package.
